It keeps excellent time. They were made for military use around 1943 to 1945, and only approximately 3000 were made. Obviously, a lot of this number did not survive the hard use they encountered. It differs from a normal 987 in that it has a center seconds hand, 18 Jewels, and the hacking feature, which stops the seconds hand when the crown is in the setting
