Seek Urgent Medical Care for Any of the Following Baby under 3 months of age with a temperature of 38C or higher Drowsiness, confusion, difficulty waking, fainting, or seizure Breathing difficulty, chest pain, rapid breathing, or bluish lips Stiff neck, severe or unusual headache, sensitivity to light, or repeated vomiting Non-blanching rash, purple or red spots that do not fade when pressed, or unexplained bleeding Severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or inability to drink or keep fluids down Signs of dehydration: very little or no urine, dry mouth, sunken eyes, no tears when a child cries, marked weakness Fever in a pregnant woman, elderly patient, person with cancer, transplant recipient, or person taking immune-suppressing medicines Suspected dengue with any warning signs: severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, bleeding from any site, restlessness, drowsiness, or worsening after the initial fever begins to settle Fever lasting more than 3 days, recurrent fever, or fever without a clear explanation Fever thresholds alone should not be used as the only reason to seek or delay care
