Produced in 1997, the dress is made from a densely woven polyester base fabric onto which a cotton knit cardigan has been attached. The polyester base is sleeveless, with the short sleeved cotton cardigan joined at the neck and then designed to be folded down buttoned over the polyester base (although you could also wear it as a very demented funnel neck or just open and wrapped around somehow).
