This was the fourth design in the series of 100 rupee notes of independent India. The note has 'Reserve Bank of India' written on top center on the front side. The watermark window is to the left and the national emblem is to the right. The reverse features two tusker elephants. This particular note has the serial number X meaning it was printed by the Delhi circle of the Reserve
